Testimonials
“I have known Kari Langmyhr for many years. As her veterinarian, I know Kari to be a wonderful caregiver to her own animals. She is always kind and loving. Her awareness of her own pet’s health is of the utmost priority to her. I know that her love of animals extends to all the pets she cares for. I recommend her highly as a caregiver for any of the beloved animals in our lives.” Dr. Maria VonderHaar, D.V.M., C.V.A.

“Kari has cared for my cats since 2012. At that time, she cared for Pedro and Boa, who were 12 at the time. Pedro had some health issues and needed medication daily, and both were very shy which Kari handled perfectly. In 2016, I had a family emergency and thankfully Kari was there. She stepped in immediately with little notice to check on Pedro and Boa for several weeks when I was out of town. She went above and beyond even going to my vet to pick up their prescription food. Sadly both Pedro and Boa died in 2017. In 2018, I was thrilled to welcome two kittens, May and Sam, to my family. Kari has cared for them whenever I’m out of town. I am very grateful to have such a trusted person care for my cats all of these years.” Stacia W., Chicago

“My wife and I hired Kari to give our dog (Max) daily walks, and are very glad that we did. Kari has always been on time, professional, thorough and loving in her care of Max. Max is an older dog with some chronic health issues, and Kari enthusiastically helped us keep track of his symptoms. Kari has years of experience caring for animals, and was able to suggest some ways to help mitigate Max’s symptoms. I can’t imagine hiring anyone else to walk Max.” Kevin Anderson, Washington, DC.

“Kari is what one would call a “Dog whisperer”. She is not only a sensitive and kind person but has a 6th sense when it comes to animals. She is incredibly professional and reliable as well.
When I first met Kari, I knew right off she was special. My pup, Parker, being a very sensitive guy had separation anxiety so the past times I left him with caretakers it did not go well. He was terribly stressed when we were away, and it took a long time to get him back to a good place once we were home. So, when we met Kari for an interview I was just hoping he would stay calm and not freak out. To my surprise he went right to her, and I felt as if they were communicating on a totally different level. With regard to her services she reviewed everything with me and was thorough in asking all the right questions about Parker and his routine. I felt very secure leaving him with her. And while we were away she would send photos and keep us posted on his activities. It was such a relief knowing he was in good hands so that I could really enjoy my time away. This was all reinforced when we got back. My pup was relaxed, in good spirits and happy to see us. What a difference!
I can’t say enough about Kari and I would highly recommend her services to anyone. Her professional demeanor and kind heart make her exceptional in her work and someone for whom you can depend.” Kathleen B., Evanston

“Kari walked my greyhound Joy for 4 years while I lived in Chicago. She was without a doubt the best dog walker I had in Chicago and better than the others I have had since. Not that they have been bad, they just weren’t Kari. The only reason I stopped using her was because I moved out of state. One of the things she told me about my dog was that, “She was special.” Kari seemed to understand and appreciate my girl Joy more than most other people aside from me. I would pay for 20 minute walks but she always spent more time than that with Joy. I lived down the street from Berger Park by the lake and the Loyola Campus. She would take Joy out and let her lay happily in the grass while Loyola students fawned over her. She got so much love and attention when she was with Kari. Even after I moved away, she offered to talk to the new walker and share important things about my dog that a walker should know. She was always dependable. Almost always available at the last minute when I needed extra help on a sick day.
She also took and sent me some wonderful pictures of Joy that would put a smile on my face when I was away as she also did pet sitting. I didn’t have to worry about my dog when I couldn’t be there because Kari was there. She was very mindful of my dog’s behavior, as Joy was very sweet but as she aged she could be weird when meeting new dogs. She was super gentle but she became a grumpy old lady. My girl also had separation anxiety and was scared of thunderstorms. And Kari was there through all of it. She understood and managed the situations my dog was in, mindful of her behavior, and followed and respected my instructions. My dog was always safe and happy with her. What else could you look for in a dog walker?” Stacy F., Shaumburg
